The Jeep Patriot is a Compact crossover SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) that was manufactured by the Jeep part of Chrysler. The Jeep Patriot was introduced in 2007 and is a successful model that is still manufactured and used widely in different parts. The Jeep Patriot is also called the Jeep Liberty in parts of Russia. The parts of the Jeep Patriot were assembled at the plant in Belvidere, Illinois, United States. The Jeep Patriot was available in the four door SUV body style and used the Chrysler PM/MK platform.
The Jeep Patriot used the FF layout; front engine with front or optional four wheel drive. The Jeep Patriot was added to Chrysler's ENVI lineup in 2009 at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The Jeep Patriot was powered by different types of engine that include the 2.4 Litre (144 cid) GEMA I4 engine, 2.0 Litre (122 cid) GEMA I4 engine and the 2.0 Litre (120 cid) diesel I4 engine that was used in Europe and Australia. The engine was supported by the five speed manual transmission.
