In 1934, the Nissan motor company was separately introduced and was owned by Nippon Sangyo and Hitachi. Nissan built trucks, airplanes, and engines for the Japanese military and the company's main plants were moved to China after parts in China were captured by Japan. In 1947 and 1948 the Nissan Motor Company also used the name as Nissan Heavy Industries Corporation.
