The Acura is a full size luxury car that was manufactured and marketed by Acura, the luxury part of Honda. The Acura RL is the flagship car of Acura. The Acura Rl was introduced in 1996 and has been produced in two generations. The Acura RL cars that were produced from 1996 to 2004 is a part of the first generation and the current cars that were produced after 2004 is a part of the second generation. The Acura RL is a re-badged version of the Honda Legend. The Acura RL also used the name as Acura 3.5RL and Acura Legend.
The Acura RL is a front engine model that used the FF Layout. The first generation of the Acura RL was powered by the 3.5 Litre V6 engine and the second generation Acura RL was powered by the 3.5 Litre 290 hp (220 kW) engine from 2005 to 2008 and the 3.7 Litre 300 hp (220 kW) engine from 2009. The engine was supported by the four speed automatic and the five speed automatic transmission with optional sequential sport shift. The wheelbase of the Acura RL is 110.2 inch. The Acura RL used the four wheel drive layout that was very successful.
