The Acura MDX is a mid-size crossover Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV) that was manufactured and marketed by the Japanese automaker Acura, a part of Honda. The Acura MDX was introduced in 2001 and is successfully produced and used in different parts of the World. The Acura MDX was used to replace that Acura SLX. The Acura MDX is the first crossover SUV that has the third row seating. The name, MDX is used to refer 'Multi-Dimensional luXury'. The Acura MDX was manufactured in two generaion; the current models are a part of the second generation that was introduced in 2007.

The first generation Acura MDX was powered by the 3.5 Litre V6 engine that produced 253 hp (189 kW) and the second generation cars used the 3.7 Litre (3664 cc) 24 valve SOHC V6 VTEC engine. He Acura MDX was a successful model that won several awards including the North American Truck of the Year award for 2001, 'Car and Driver' magazine's Best Luxury SUV, 'Motor Trend' magazine's Sport Utility vehicle of the Year, 2001 and also the Top Safety Pick award for the 2007 model year.
