The Acura Legend is a mid-size luxury car that also used the name as Honda Legend in many parts outside the United States. The Acura Legend was produced and marketed by Acura part of Honda. The Acura Legend was introduced in 1986 and was produced for nearly ten years till 1995. The Acura Legend was available in two door coupe and four door sedan variations. The Acura Legend used the FF layout and was replaced by the Acura RL. The Acura Legend was built at the Saitama assembly, in Saitama.
The Legend was one of the most successful sedan models from Acura. The two engine options of the Acura Legend are the 2.5 Litre C25A V6 engine and the 2.7 Litre C27A V6 engine. The two types of transmission used by the Acura Legend are the five speed manual and the four speed automatic transmission. The Acura Legend was produced in two generation. The Legend coupe was Motor Trend's Import Car of the Year for 1987. The coupe also made Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best list for 1988 through 1990.
