The Eagle Medallion is a compact vehicle that was available as a four door sedan and a four door station wagon. The Eagle Medallion is the rebadged and the re-engineered North American version of the French Renault 2. The Eagle Medallion was also called as the Renault in some parts. The Eagle Medallion was introduced in North America in 1987 and was produced for only three years till 1989. The parts of the Eagle Medallion were assembled at the plant in Maubeuge, France. The Eagle Medallion was replaced by the Eagle 2000GTX.
The Eagle Medallion used the four wheel drive layout and was available in the 2.2 Litre I4 engine and was supported by the five speed manual and the three speed automatic transmission. The Eagle Medallion was used to replace the Renaut 18i and the AMC Concord. The Eagle Medallion used the longitudinal engine placement that was not a commonly used layout. The wheelbase of the four door station wagon version was larger than the wheelbase of the sedan version.
