The Mercury Monarch is a mid-sized sedan that was manufactured and marketed by the Mercury part of the Ford Motor Company. The Mercury Monarch was introduced in 1975 and was produced for five years till 1980. The Mercury Monarch was used to replace the Mercury Comet. The parts of the Mercury Monarch were assembled at the plant in Mahwah, New Jersey Wayne, Michigan. The upscale version of the Mercury Monarch was called as the Mercury Grand Monarch Ghia and was introduced in 1975. The Mercury Monarch was available in the four door sedan and two door sedan body-styles.
