The Hyundai Santa Fe is a Korean car however it is widely used in different parts of the World. The parts of the Hyundai Santa Fe are assembled in the plants in Montgomery, Alabama, United States and Ulsan, Korea. Initially, the Hyundai Santa Fe only used the plant in Ulsan, Korea.
The Hyundai Santa Fe used the FF layout; transverse front engine model with front wheel drive and optional four wheel drive. The Hyundai Santa Fe used the Hyundai Sonata platform and was available in the four door SUV body style. The Hyundai Santa Fe was manufactured in two generations; the cars that were manufactured from 2001 to 2006 are part of the first generation of the Hyundai Santa Fe. After 2006 the Hyundai Santa Fe was modified, used advanced features and the current model of cars that were produced after 2006 are part of the second generation of the Hyundai Santa Fe.
