The Honda S2000 is a roadster or sports car that was manufactured and marketed by the Japanese automaker, Honda Motor Company. The Honda S2000 was introduced in 1998 for the 1999 model year and was produced successful for a decade till the 2009 model year. The Honda S2000 was introduced in 1999 to celebrate Honda Motor Company's fiftieth anniversary. The Honda 2000 was manufactured in two generations and the parts were assembled in Takanezawa R&D Plant in Tochigi, Japan and Suzuka R&D Plant in Suzuka, Mie, Japan.
The Honda S2000 used the FMR layout; front engine model with rear wheel drive and optional four wheel drive. The Honda S2000 was designed by Shingeru Uehara and was available in the two door roadster body style. The first generation of the Honda S2000 was from 1999 to 2003 and was called the Honda S200 (AP1) and the cars that were manufactured from 2004 to 2009 are part of the second generation and were called Honda S200 (AP2). The Honda S2000 was also used in the movie '2 Fast 2 Furious'.
