The Dodge Rampage is a coupe utility or a subcompact pickup truck that was manufactured and marketed by the Dodge part of Chrysler Corporation. The Dodge Rampage was introduced in 1982 and was produced till 1984. The Dodge Rampage used the Chrysler L platform and had the FF layout. The Chassis and the fascia used in the Dodge Rampage is similar to the one used for the sporty Charger. The Dodge Rampage was also called the Plymouth Scamp. The Volkswagen Rabbit Sportruck and Subaru Brat.
The Dodge Rampage used the 2.2 Litre K I4 engine and was available as a front wheel drive model. The Dodge Rampage was based on the Dodge Omni and the Plymouth Horizon. The Dodge Rampage was not a very successful model and production stopped in two years. The front wheel drive, engine used and many other parts that were not very efficient resulted in the failure of this model. In 1983, the last year of production of the Dodge Rampage; the model was called as the Shelby Rampage and used the Shelby charger strobe stripes.
