The Dodge Colt is a subcompact car sold by Dodge 1970 to 1994. Dodge introduced the Colt for the 1971 model year. The Dodge Colt was initially an import model from Mitsubishi. The Colt was available in different versions; it was also available as minivan or wagons and was available till 1994. The Colt minivans that were sold from 1985 to 1994 were considered as entry-level minivans. In 1989, the Colt Turbo was on Car and Driver magazine's Ten Best list.
In some parts, the Dodge Colt used different names for marketing like: Plymouth Cricket nameplate was used in Canada between 1973 and 1975. After 1990, Colt was the only subcompact in the Dodge line-up. The sedan version of the Colt ws not sold in parts of North America. The Dodge Shadow replaced the Colt sedan in parts of North America. The Dodge Colt sedan was used again from1993 to 1994 as a variant of the Eagle Summit.
