The Cadillac DTS is a full-size luxury sedan from the Cadillac luxury part of General Motors. The name, DTS stands for DeVille Touring Sedan. The production DTS was shown at the 2005 Chicago Auto Show on February 9. The DTS is manufactured at GM's Detroit/Hamtramck Assembly factory in Hamtramck, Michigan. The DTS was used by Cadillac to replace the Cadillac DeVille. The Cadillac DTS was Cadillac's largest luxury car for 2006.
Cadillac used a unique design for the DTS; a specially designed and outfitted presidential DTS limousine was used in the second inauguration of George W. Bush in the January 20, 2005 parade. The highlighted features of this model are the heavy armour and advanced communication equipment. The DTS was available in two versions; luxury and performance. The Luxury model is priced at US,990, while the Performance version is priced at US,490. The DTS is the best-selling full-size luxury car in North America.
