The C/K is the name for Chevrolet part of GMC's full size pickup truck line. The C/K series was introduced in 1960 and was produced till 1998. The first model of the C/K series was introduced in 1924 and the in house design appeared in 1930. The name C/K denotes the drive train of the vehicle, 'C' is used to denote the two wheel drive models and 'K' is used to denote the four-wheel drive models. C/K 1500 is one of the most successful models in the C/K series. The GMC C/K 1500 was also called the Sierra, GMC's full-size pickup.
The C/K 3500 series is the name of GMC's full size pickup truck line that was marketed by the Chevrolet part. The C/K 3500 series was stopped in 1998 and was replaced by GMC Sierra, in 1988 and the Chevrolet Silverado was used in 1999 the Chevrolet Silverado HD and GMC Sierra HD heavy duty pickup trucks were used in 2001. The C/K 3500 series used advanced parts and were modified to include the drop centre ladder frame, allowing the cab to sit lower, and independent front suspension parts giving an almost car like ride in a truck.
