Buick Century is the line of full-size performance vehicles that were introduced in 1936. The Century line was manufactured by the Buick division, a part of General Motors. In order to celebrate the engineering improvements and design advancements, Buick renamed the line-up from 1935 as 'Century'. The Century produced from 1936 to 1942 used shorter wheelbase and powerful eight-cylinder engine. The California Highway Patrol placed used the Century 2-door sedans that were not available to the general public. In many parts of Asia, the Buick Century was confused with the Toyota Century.
