The Buick LaCrosse is a mid-size car produced by the Buick part of American automaker General Motors. Initially, the Buick LaCrosse concept car was shown in 2000. The Buick LaCrosse was sold in different parts of the World and in Canada the LaCrosse was called the Buick Allure. The Buick LaCrosse was available only as a four-door sedan and was used to replace the Buick Century, Buick Regal and the Oldsmobile Intrigue after General Motors discontinued the Oldsmobile. The first generation of the Buick LaCrosse was introduced in 2005 and was in production till 2009 model year. The cars that will be produced from the 2010 model year will be a part of the second generation. The Buick LaCrosse used the 3.8 Litre 3800 Series III V6 engine for the CX and the CXL trim levels. The CXS or the Super trim level of the Buick LaCrosse used the 3.6 Litre HFV6 V6 engine. The LaCrosse was a front wheel drive model and the power was transferred by the 4T65-E automatic transmission.
