The mid-size sport utility vehicle (SUV) based on General Motors' GMT360 platform, introduced by Saab is called the Saab 9-7X. The Saab 9-7X is assembled in the United States Moraine, Ohio production plant Saab 9-7X currently shares the platform with the GMC Envoy and Chevrolet TrailBlazer. The Saab 9-7X is the only GMT360 SUV that was not available with rear-wheel drive and featured all-wheel drive. Saab claims that the 9-7X Aero can go from 0 to 60 mph in under 6 seconds.
The body of the SAAB 9-7X is similar to the discontinued Bravada, the front fascia, headlamps, hood, roof rack, tail lamps, and rear bumper make this model unique.
Saab 9-7X also features a V8 engine and substantial chassis revisions, including a 1-inch (25 mm) lower ride height and revised bushings and dampers, standard rear air suspension, and quicker steering to sharpen the handling. The interior design of the Saab 9-7X is similar to the Saab 9-5. The night panel switch was not used in Saab 9-7X. All 9-7Xs feature all-wheel drive, leather seats, 18-inch (460 mm) alloy wheels, and side-curtain airbags. Entertainment and convenience features include OnStar, XM Satellite Radio, a 6-CD Bose audio system, and either a sunroof or a rear-seat DVD entertainment system.
