The Pontiac G6 is a mid-size car produced under the Pontiac part of American automaker, General Motors. The Pontiac G6 was introduced in the fall of 2004. The Pontiac G6 was used by Pontiac to replace the Grand AM. Pontiac G6, Chevrolet Malibu and Saab 9-3 used the same GM Epsilon platform. The Pontiac G6 used conservative design the main features include the remote starting system as well as a panoramic sunroof option. The ribbed cladding parts and rear spoiler that were also used on the Grand Am was replaced by standard sheet metal. The Pontiac G6 used the 3500 V6 engine that produced 200 horsepower (150 kW). This car used the four-speed automatic transmission as standard with both the trims. The Pontiac G6 was modified for the current model year and used the four-cylinder Ecotec engine and optional six-speed automatic transmission.
