The BMW Z4 is a rear-wheel drive sports car that was manufactured and marketed by the German automaker, BMW. The Z4 was used by BMW to replace the Z3 in many parts. The BMW Z4 was introduced in 2002 and was available in two door roadster and two door coupe variation. The BMW Z4 was built at the Spartanburg, South Carolina plant. The second generation of BMW Z4 started in 2009 and is produced at the Regensburg, Germany plant. The length of the BMW Z4 was 4090 mm and had a great fuel capacity of 55 Litre. The BMW Z4 used different types of engines that include the 2.0 LITRE N46B20 I4, 2.2 LITRE M54B22 I6, 2.5 LITRE M54B25 I6, 3.0 LITRE M54B30 I6, 3.0 LITRE N52B30 I6 and the 3.2 LITRE S54B32 I6 engine. The BMW Z4 used only two transmission options that were the five or six speed manual transmission and the five or six speed automatic transmission. The BMW Z4 was built on the E85 platform and used the FMR layout.
