ALPINA B7 is a high performance car of the 7 series model that was produced by BMW. BMW is well known in Germany's as the Performance Specialists. Alpina B7 was the result of Woodcliff Lake's commitment to develop the best performing vehicles in the luxury market. In 1964, ALPINA was established as an official and approved nobler of BMW automobiles with the aim to make the BMW models appealing to connoisseurs of automotive finery. BMW set benchmark for performance, refinement, technology, and luxury by introducing this new model, Alpina B7. In 2006 BMW decided to release Approximately 200 US-version cars.
The features that make the Alpina B7 special are luxury, pioneering design, advanced technology of the 7 Series Sedan and the great performance of a supercharged, 500hp V-8 engine. The higher-performance version of BMW4.4-liter, 90-degree V-8 engine was used to increase the power and used a 6-speed automatic transmission that had steering wheel mounted shift controls. This high-performance model was able to produce 500 horsepower at 5,500 rpm along with maximum torque of 516 lbs.-ft. at 4,250 rpm, and B7 from 0-60 mph in a mere 4.8 seconds. Alpina B7 used 21-inch wheels carry Z-rated performance tires, and the sport-tuned suspension includes Active Roll Stabilization. In order to increase improve stability, handling, and performance at high speeds, the B7 used a rear spoiler.
