The Jeep CJ-7 is one of the last civilian jeeps that were produced. The Jeep CJ (Civilian Jeep) is a public version of the famous Military Jeep that was used for World War II. In 1944 the CJ-2 prototype was introduced. The Jeep CJ is a successful model and has been in production for a very long time and is sold mostly in all parts of the World. There are more than 7 variations of the Jeep CJ that have been successful and used Worldwide even for of mud racing and rock crawling. The Jeep CJ-7 was introduced in 1976 and 379,299 were built during the 11 years of production.
The CJ-7 used an optional new automatic all wheel drive system called Quadra Trac. In 1987, the Jeep CJ-7 was replaced by the Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep CJ-7 used different types of Engines and transmissions. The major engines and Transmissions used in different parts are:
