The Infiniti I35 is a mid size luxury car. The Infinity I35 was produced and marketed by the Nissan's Infiniti marque in North American parts. The Infinity I35 was a rebadged version of the Nissan Cefiro. The Infinity I35 is an economic 'near luxury' model that was Infinity's top seller. The Infinity I35 was used as Infinity's entry level model for the 2001 model year. The first I35 was built on June 27, 1995. The Infinity I35 was built at the plant in Oppama, Japan. The Infinity I35 was also available as a touring version.

The Infinity I30 was modified in 2001, the main changes include revisions to the interior, new optional parts, larger brakes, a retuned suspension system, and standard stability control. The I30 was renamed I35 to reflect the increase in the engine displacement from 3.0 to 3.5 L. The Infinity I35 used the Nissan's VQ35DE V6 engine that produced 255 hp (190 kW). Nissan announced that I35 production would cease and that model year 2004 would be the last for this vehicle in September 2005. The Infinity M replaced the Infinity I series.
