The Caballero and El Camino used same mechanical parts with the Chevrolet Malibu series. Caballero and E1 Camino were similar to each other in design and the parts used, this was one of the drawbacks for E1 Camino. The only part that was modified in the ninety years of the truck’s history was the grille design. The Automatic transmission carried the shifter parts on the steering column.
