The Ford Fusion is a mid sized car that was introduced by Ford Motor Company. The name, Ford Fusion was used before the Ford Focus was introduced in parts of Europe. The Ford Fusion is the first car that used Ford's new three-bar grille design. The Ford Fusion was a successful model that was well received in different parts and the sales number was projected at 160,000-200,000 per year. The Fusion was also used in the NASCAR and also won the race even at the first year of its launch. The Ford Fusion was modified considerably for the 2010 model year and used advanced technology and many parts were modified. The Ford Fusion used the 2.5 Litre I4 and 3.0 Litre PIP Duratec series V6 engine along with Ford's new 6F35 six-speed transmission. The 3.0 L Duratec engine provided 240 hp (179 kW) with E85 fuel capability and the I4 provide 175 hp (130 kW) power. The Ford Fusion was nominated for the North American Car of the Year award for 2006 and Strategic Vision gave the Fusion its Total Quality Award as the best-quality midsize sedan on the American market.
