The Ford Freestar is a minivan that was manufactured by the Ford Motor Company. The Ford Freestar was introduced in 2004 and was produced till November 2006. The 2005 Freestar scored second place in J.D. Power's Vehicle Dependability Study. The Freestar was used by Ford to replace the Windstar. The name, 'Freestar' is a result of Ford's attempt to name all the cars starting with, 'F'. The Ford Freestar was available in five trim levels: base, SE, Sport, SEL, and Limited. The Ford Flex was the successor of Freestar and was introduced at the 2007 New York International Auto Show.

The Ford Freestar can accommodate seven passengers and used an electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission as standard. The Ford Freestar used two different gasoline-powered V6 engines. The 3.9 Litre engine was small and was used only in the United States and produced power of 193 hp (144 kW) at 4500 rpm and 240 lbft (325 Nm) of torque at 3750 rpm. The 4.2 Litre engine was used in all the parts and produced 201 hp (150 kW) at 4,250 rpm and 263 lbft (357 Nm) of torque at 3650 rpm. The Ford Freestar was sold in different parts of the World.
