The Ford Five Hundred is a full-size sedan that was produced by the Ford Motor Company. The Ford Five Hundred used the code name as D258 and was introduced in 2005 and was sold till 2007 model years in parts of North America. The Five Hundred was first introduced at the 2004 North American International Auto Show in Detroit and was available to the public in September 2004. The Five hundred was used by Ford to replace the Taurus on the Chicago Assembly line. The Ford Five Hundred received a facelift and was available in parts of the Middle East from the 2008 model year.
The Five Hundred is a front-wheel drive full-sized car. The Ford Five Hundred was longer than its competitors, the Chevrolet Impala and Toyota Avalon. The Interior of the Five Hundred was spacious and special techniques were used while development. The interior materials that were used for the Ford Five Hundred include imitation carbon fiber and traditional wood-grain. The trunk of the Five Hundred was also larger than those of its competitors. The Five Hundred also received good results in crash tests conducted by the IIHS as well as NHTSA.
