The Ford Explorer is a mid-size sport utility vehicle that was introduced by the Ford Motor Company. The Ford Explorer was mainly sold in North America and was introduced in 1990. The Ford Explorer was used to replace the smaller Ford Bronco II. The Ford Explorer parts were assembled in Hazelwood, Missouri until the plant closed on March 10, 2006 and then it is manufactured in Louisville, Kentucky.
