The Jaguar X-type is a compact executive car that was manufactured and marketed by Jaguar cars. Jaguar was a part of Ford Motor Company from 2001 to 2008 and after 2008 is a part of Tata Motors. The Jaguar X-type was introduced in 2001 and was manufactured for eight years and production stopped for the 2009 model year. The parts of the Jaguar X-type are assembled at the plant in Halewood, England. The Jaguar X-type was available in the four door saloon and the five door estate body styles.
